I am a singer, songwriter, essayist, and mother living in Upstate New York, on the ancestral lands of the Stockbridge-Munsee band of Mohicans.

In 2011, I began performing under the name Half Waif. I write music that blends elements of pop, folk, and experimental styles, a layering of organic and electronic components. Sound as connective tissue. Vulnerability as power.

I write essays on creative process and nature, which I share on my Substack, “Ordinary Talk.”

I teach workshops on songwriting, and how to both ritualize and systematize creative practice.

I am a devotee of seasons, sunsets, birds, medicinal plants, shifts in temperature and light. My spirituality is deeply rooted in ecology.
